Fashion has become, literally, a whirlwind. There are dozens of shoe trends to prove our point. Some are completely unnecessary (Read: Alexander McQueen's "Barefoot" pumps) while others can be worn day and night by lay folk like us. We've weeded through the good, the bad, and the just plain ugly to present the five shoe trends on our radar for this coming spring/summer.

Aliza Darik shoe clips get the job done

Wanna expand your shoe collection without spending a dime on new shoes? Look no further than Aliza Darik's incredible shoe clips. These designers know that women want tons of extraordinary shoes for all occasions but they also know that many of us simply don't have the dough to do so.

But by spending just a few more bucks on Aliza Darik shoe clips you can transform your classic black's into stunners in seconds. It's tried and true. After clipping the gems on our shoes, we slipped our feet into our boring, old office pumps and, we kid you not, they were magically transformed into shoes worthy of a Sex & the City appearance.

Why aren't you wearing this? Nicole Latch Flat

Planning on a long night of trick-or-treating with the kids? Maybe you're the kind of mom (or super cool aunt) who busts out a prize-winning costume, but, if after getting the little ones all dressed up you just don't have the energy, we understand. And, we have a suggestion - the Nicole Latch Flat in orange.

Why aren't you wearing this? L.A.M.B. Mitaka Heel

Filed under: Accessories, Shoes, Must Haves

While a neutral shoe is always a good investment, we have one problem with them -- they can be boring. Even though we know that they'll look fabulous, and elongate our leg, we just have a hard time wearing a shoe that, in the box, makes us yawn.

That's why we love this Mitaka Heel by L.A.M.B. in gray, available for $354.99 at Heels.com. It does everything a nude shoe needs to do, but it does it with some extra style. Instead of simply being a shoe we'd wear with an outfit needing a neutral, we'd search out ensembles to wear with these shoes!

Why aren't you wearing this? Peep-toe Oxford Pump

Filed under: Accessories, Shoes, Daily Obsession, Must Haves

We're seeing a lot of heeled shooties (shoe-like boots) this season, and, truth be told, we're not falling all over ourselves for them. We know that a heavier shoe is hot and all, but some of them just seem a little awkward -- like they'd cut off the leg in a bad spot, and some just don't have much style. These, however, we want.

Tip of the Day: Where to shop for super tiny feet

Filed under: Accessories, Shoes, Style Tip of the Day

Many women have adorable, petite feet. The problem is that they can't find adult shoes and are often scouring the children's department to find what they need – which often leads to frustration and/or a complete disaster.

If you are one of those women that have a hard time finding shoes for tiny tootsies, here are a few stores where you can find some grown up shoes from size one and up.

Okay, so we caught Lauren Conrad wearing some fringe Minnetonka sandals. Say what!? Yes, fringy shoes that are actually cute. So we did a little detective work and found that there are fringe benefits all over the place for fall.

You Willa love these sandals

Filed under: Accessories, Shoes, Daily Obsession

We bought the pale gold Willa strappy sandal at Target ($13.99) on a whim one day and they have proven themselves to be the best sandals we've bought in a long while -- perhaps ever.

Never since our tweenage obsession with Jellies have we ever been so enamored of a pair of shoes, and we shed our flip-flops only for them. We love wearing them with our dark-denim shorts and a white blazer, or with a black dress and a long gold necklace. The soles are deceptively soft and padded, the straps don't slip or cut into your feet, and even an unexpected summer shower could not make our feet slide around inside them. We are urban warriors, and they are our chariots. The Willa sandal is a truly great summer shoe.
