Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Designer Eric Crandell, based in Southern California, aims to bridge "the gap between art, music, and fashion." His art graces album covers as well as t-shirts that can be found at 101 Apparel.

The quote featured on the website reads: "Bringing people back to when art/music was raw...still developing...at its best."

Fashionable food and drink for your Kentucky Derby Party

A stylish party is one part fabulous atmosphere, one part gorgeous guests, and one part fashionable food and drink -- a Kentucky Derby party is no exception.

First things first -- you can't celebrate the Derby without serving up mint juleps. This is the traditional drink of the Kentucky Derby, made of sugar, water, mint, and bourbon (or variations thereof). Dress up for a football game? You bet!

Filed under: Events: On the Scene, Clothing

Growing up in the South, college football has always been a fairly big part of my life. I've been going to University of Georgia football games for many years, and even from a young age, I noticed the fancy dresses and outfits that almost all of the women (of all ages) wore. An article in The Red & Black sums up why exactly these woman do such a thing.

Now, maybe it's just a Southern tradition for women to dress up for football games, but I've got to say -- it's attractive for a couple of reasons:

- I've got tremendous respect for any woman that can bear the heat of a Saturday afternoon in heels and pearls. And they don't sweat -- they merely glisten.
- I don't know where they learn it, but they sure do know how to look classy and gorgeous all while cheering for a sport that most of them don't care about.

Here's a few tips I've picked up to help you look your best on game day. (By the way, it'll impress your significant other.)
- Wear the correct team colors
- I can't say that I recommend high-heels -- I've heard they get pretty uncomfortable after being on your feet for hours.
- Don't spend too much on that outfit, as it's bound to get dirty in a stadium full of sweaty guys.
