David Bowie lends Ziggy Stardust outfit to Brit-pop exhibit

It's our firm belief that spandex outfits that retain superpowers should never be tossed around irresponsibly like a piece of Hard Rock Cafe trash. Would Superman lend his cape out to just anyone? No, he wouldn't. The only reason James Brown's "Sex " jumpsuits came onto the market was because his estate needed some quick cash. So, why is David Bowie lending his Ziggy Stardust outfit to an exhibition called The British Musical Experience? Probably because Harvey Goldsmith -- one of Britain's most legendary concert promoters, asked him to. Goldsmith has also rounded up Annie Lennox's Union Jack outfit as well as some guitars and junk from stars like Oasis' Noel Gallagher (who was recently attacked onstage by a crazed fan in Toronto). If it's in the interest of consolidating Bowie's power and influence in the very incestuous world of concert promotions. Still, the whole thing brings to mind one question: isn't it about time for a Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders reunion tour?
