Five dresses - the sweater dress
Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Must Haves
We've patiently been waiting for fall to arrive, and now that the air is finally turning crisp we've been rewarded with a most deliciously soft trend for fall: The sweater dress.
We love that there's such a large variety of sweater dresses to choose from right now, and of course we love the sheer versatility of the sweater dress itself. Wear it barelegged in early fall and add tights and layers as the weather cools. You can even wear it as a tunic over your favorite jeans! It's rare that a trend is as versatile as this, so we're riding this one until the weather warms up.

The name of the dress is "She's in Love," and that might be because I'm head over heels for Joie's sweater dress, or it might just be because I'm in love!
We're still hot on sweater dresses, and the Whipping Gale Sweater Dress from Anthropologie makes your wardrobe a little more interesting than a cowl neck, cable-knit, or turtleneck. The merino wool dress is made of large swatches of charcoal-colored fabric in varying rib-widths and textures. A dainty pointelle bib is what pulls all the pieces together. Given that it almost looks like a pilgrim's dress, this might be something appropriate to wear at Thanksgiving dinner in lieu of something less stylish like, um, a sweatshirt with a turkey applique on the front.
Weekend wear begs for comfort, and right now, there is nothing more comfortable than...a pair of sweats.
Maybe it's the weather here in southern California -- cold, gray, and rainy. Or maybe it's the mood I'm in. Whatever it is, I am feeling extremely "home-y" It's all I can do to get back into bed with a cup of hot coffee and a few magazines.
Apparently, it's not just the people of LA who are fickle.
Thank goodness it's the weekend, y'all! I don't know about you, but for some reason, I have a list of things to do that's about two dozen things, and all of them are errands about town.

Thursday is the new Friday.
This dress is only for the lioness-hearted because it screams "Look at me!" Did I say "screams?" I meant "shrieks."
