Brewed Chocolate from Cabaret, my friend

Cabaret Brewed Chocolate isn't what you think- assuming you think it's some sort of hot cocoa. If you think it's an alternative to coffee, tea, or, gasp, wine, then it is what you think and you're a genius. Congratulations.

Lovers of chocolate swear by the uplifting qualities that it carries. This school of thought is enriched deep in history. In the days of yore ancient Mexican cultures regarded chocolate as something more than a snack, it was an experience. Cabaret wanted to bring cocoa back. So they brewed it.

Natural Beauty: The Power of Tea

Salon Tea Eye GelTea.

It's so proper, so tasty, so beneficial to one's health. It makes you wonder why we don't use tea more often in our lives. Well, you don't have to rack your brain thinking of how you can show a cup of tea more love (pretty sure you have other things to think about) because Tracey Stern has taken care of that for you.

For this tea junkie, collecting tea cups and drinking nearly a dozen cups a day wasn't enough so she took her love for all things tea to the next level by developing tea-based beauty elixirs. Have tired and puffy eyes? Try some EyeGel Tea, the lubricating liposomes revitalize and provide a cooling sensation while the antioxidant benefits of green tea refresh and rejuvenate. Not bad huh?

It wouldn't be proper to leave you without a little tea etiquette from Tracey: "When drinking tea, refrain from pointing the pinky finger in the air." Don't say I never told you anything useful.

Sit down, relax, and watch your cup of tea bloom

A cup of tea, until now, has been something functional ... something useful on days you feel a cold coming on or have just had your heart broken. But who knew tea could be beautiful to look at? Display teas from Adagio unfurl in hot water, creating a "bloom" of tea leaves in the bottom of your cup.

The teas are best served in a clear glass cup so you can easily see the blooming action. Boxes of ten display teas are available for $10 from Adagio in either jasmine-infused green tea, or black tea. This seems like a good thing to have on hand for last-minute gifts (and extreme cases of man trouble).

Dragonwater Tea: a natural aphrodisiac

Filed under: Holiday Style, Fashionable Food

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, many folks will be turning their attention towards turning up the heat in their relationships. Excluding the standbys of candles, racy undies and mood music, you might be wondering how you could get your lady or your fellow in the mood this V-Day.

Damiana Tea, a family-run company based in Seattle, sells a loose tea called Dragonwater Tea that might be just what the doctor ordered. According to the tea-people, Dragonwater Tea comes from a small shrub that grows in the southwest. In addition to the usual health benefits of tea, this particular variety has been used as a natural aphrodisiac ever since the time of the Mayans. A quarter-pound bag sells for $5.50, which seems like a very reasonable price to pay compared to other aphrodisiacs like oysters and nice champagne.
