Used to be a bad accent, cheap wig and quick pair of fangs made for a hit movie about vampires. But the gay-old-days of Anne Rice, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt are over, thanks to HBO, Charlaine Harris and a little help from the surprisingly hot Lizzy Caplan. And her boobs.

We've written more than we ever wanted about Aubrey O'Day -- not much of it has been flattering. She makes some heeeeedious fashion decisions, and apparently, some pretty bad career decisions, too. Her trampy behavior has gotten her kicked out of the group that made her semi-famous, Danity Kane.

Playboy hottie and lady friend to Hugh Hefner, Kendra Wilkinson has plenty of admirers. With her So-Cal looks and willingness to express herself toplessly, she is a truly American brand.

You could say that Olive Garden, another "only in America" classic, is a natural match for Kendra, both of them pre-fab, bland and over-processed. In other words, easy to like and available in every mall in America.

But this is a story of unrequited love.

If you visit the beaches of St. Tropez this summer expecting to find a magical place where women feel totally comfortable baring their breasts in public, you might be disappointed. According to an article in the UK Telegraph, the glorious tradition of Brigitte Bardot is on the decline. Apparently, bare flesh isn't as fashionable in the south of France as has been in the last few decades -- and no one's quite sure why.

When we think of the Riviera, of course we think of picturesque resort communities, but only after we envision beaches teeming with topless movie stars. Take away the topless women -- and it's just another über-expensive place to get a sunburn. Some are chalking it up to cancer concerns, others blame a rising wave of prudish conservatism. We know that in the US, nudist colonies are having trouble attracting members from the younger generations.

We say: if there's anything that never goes out of fashion, it's topless ladies.

Ok people, is it really that big of a deal? 15 year old Miley Cyrus looked semi-topless, covered with a sheet for a Vanity Fair shoot. But, Vanity Fair is a respected publication, Annie Lebowitz is a respected fashion photographer and Miley's parents were with her the whole time!
