Stars in Kate Moss - I want that!

Mariah CareyStars sure love them some... other stars? It's true! Hollywood isn't as full of "Mean Girls" as you'd think. Some of them actually support one another. Check out celebrities like Amanda Bynes, Mariah Carey, and Cameron Diaz wearing Kate Moss for Topshop. Then again, we guess it's hard to be nasty to someone as cool as Kate!

Zoe Salmon at the Nokia "Comes With Music" launch party - StyleFoul!

Maybe this was an honest mistake. Perhaps British t.v. personality Zoe Salmon thought the invitation to the "Nokia Comes with Music" party actually said "Comes with Pants" so she didn't need to bring her own. Or she might really, really love Sienna Miller, and wore this a tribute to show support for the "homewrecker" actress during her time of turmoil.

The world really is coming to an end; Topshop debut in New York puched back to March

Filed under: Style in the News

Just in case you thought the world couldn't get anymore colder this month, Topshop's Sir Phillip Green went right on ahead and dropped this tid bit last week:

Topshop, the fast-fashion chain store there everyone in America has been jumping up and down for since we stumbled up its e-commerce site a couple of years, will not, and we repeat, will not be opening this fall in New York.

As to why Mr. Green felt like breaking out heart, her espouses: "America is a new territory for us and we have to get it exactly right. This store can't be a nine out of 10 when it opens; it has to be a 10 out of 10. So we're delaying the opening until around mid-March."

And there you go.

Kate Moss' new Topshop collection

Kate Moss' long awaited Topshop collection has finally arrived! And best of all, even though Topshop's New York City store isn't opening on time, the clothes are still available online, even to shoppers from the U.S.

Topshop's American debut delayed

And sometimes, things are just too good to be true.

For months, we've been celebrating and hyping Topshop's arrival in New York this fall. Finally, after months of checking via the fast fashion mecca's e-commerce site, we were going to be able to buy harlequin skirts and vintage denim shorts in person.

But alas, this will not be happening -- or at least not next month.

WWD reports
there has been a bit of a set back in the construction of the massive 40,000 square foot site, and as a result, Topshop will not be opening at 478 Broadway until November. Bummer.

However, don't go crying just yet. Today, the retailer launched a US version of its e-commerce, which means you won't have to pay extra for international shipping! So yeah, go shopping. Now.

Topshop comes to the United States....eventually.

Bloody hell! Topshop, the English fast-fashion company, is delaying the opening of their New York City store by one more month. After anxiously awaiting the retailer's first stateside location, this news kinda has me feeling like the girl on the left side of that picture. The store, which is going to be 40,000 square feet (!) and four-stories tall, apparently will take more time to build than planned. It will now open in November, rather than October.

In the meantime, though, Topshop will launch a U.S.-specific online shop on September 9. That happens to be the day model/designer Kate Moss' latest collection for the company debuts. (If you're one of the first 2,000 visitors to drop more than $50 that morning, you'll snag a free Kate Moss charity t-shirt.)

While the U.K. site started shipping to America about a year ago, the rates aren't cheap. And the biggest advantage to using the American site? The fact that there will be no more need to make the depressing mental conversions from pounds to dollars while you shop.

Kate Moss for Topshop: Winter/Autumn '08

She's bacccccckkk.

On September 9th, Kate Moss will be dropping her autumn/winter collection at Topshop. Apparently, there will be lots of "printed chiffon, intricate embroidery, mohair knits, and dropped waist dresses" in this winter wardrobe.

Celia Birtwell for Topshop

A couple of months ago, British designer, Celia Birtwell, blessed those stateside with a collection of flowing tops and dresses made from her ultra feminine prints. They were sold at everyone's favorite over-priced mall store, Express.

While the pieces were definitely swoon worthy, their price tags, um not so much. Not to mention Express never really told anyone that, say, they had snagged the legendary Birtwell to hook-up their fashion tome.

So we're slightly annoyed/excited that Celia created a much more affordable line for British retailer, Topshop. The former emotion because we wish we didn't have to cough up the extra cash for shipping. But when we can potentially take home adorable retro-inspired jumpsuits like the one featured right, how could anyone say no?

Will Leona Lewis start her own fashion line?

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Is pop star Leona Lewis, aka PETA's most sexy vegetarian, about to get her own Topshop line? British rag The Sun reports that Leona and Fashion Svengali Sir Phillip Green have a dinner scheduled, as soon as he gets back from his trip to Ibiza with Kate Moss.

Since she's young and beautiful, and he's old and rich, this can mean only one thing. They're collaborating on a new clothing line. (What did you think we meant?)

The notorious Kate is Sir Phillip's current celebrity designer cash cow, but she can't stay young forever. Leona's staggering success in the U.K. and the U.S., plus her broad appeal make her a very marketable choice.

Let's see: popular and pretty celebrity, trendy clothes, inexpensive price points...we're going out on a limb and predict this will make buckets of money for Sir Phillip, and one hopes for Leona. Oh, yes, and as The Sun points out, Simon Cowell, too.

By 2010 all the girls in China will dress like Kate Moss

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Retail in China: it's all about the volume. Sir Philip Green, the owner of Topshop is all too aware of the potential profit once he gets there. Just to make sure he gets as much volume as possible, the rumor is that he asked Kate Moss to bring the lines she "designed" to China and be the face of the Topshop launch there.

Kate Moss, striking a pose for the kids

Filed under: Style in the News

Say what you will about supermodel Kate Moss, but the woman appears to have a heart. We imagine this latest charitable endeavor really struck a chord with the former Calvin Klein model and mom to Lila Grace.

Under her line for Topshop, Miss Moss has created an impossibly cool limited-edition graphic tee that benefits the Starlight Children's Foundation, a charity for seriously terminally ill children and their families.

100% of the profits from the t-shirt will go to charity where the funds will allow Starlight to provide an additional wish for a sick or terminally ill child every week for the upcoming year.

Kate, you're still pretty cool.

In stores: Alice McCall for Topshop

Filed under: Style in the News

It doesn't take much to make us happy: Clean white socks, lip chap, comfortable t-shirts, and two dollars off our next monster burrito purchase at Chipolte.

So, when we saw the first sketches of Alice McCall's diffusion line with Topshop, we were immediately won over by the brightly-colored tank/skirt combinations as well as the flirty dresses.

But unfortunately looks can be deceiving.
