Wild Dill for the wild child

Filed under: Haute Home, Accessories, Clothing, Vintage and Retro, Dresses, Kids and Babies, Style for a Cause, Green Fashion

Wild Dill was created by Jennifer who signs her bio "Wife and Mother of Wild Men." We love that. She created Wild Dill to reflect the "sense of curiosity and wonder for everything that is natural and wild." They "carry only natural, organic, fair trade, made in the USA/Europe, or recycled clothing, toys, bedding and furniture for babies and toddlers."

All of it is wonderful. See for yourself:

Light up the night with your pillow

Still waiting on spring to arrive where you are? Got those dreary winter day blues? Maybe the d°light Huggable is the answer you've been looking for. This light-up pillow is inspired by sunlight and designer Diana Lin created it to give people the chance to embrace the essence of the sun in their arms.

The pillow is soft and fuzzy like a pillow should be and it's made out of a unique silicone material that feels almost life-like. It's like your cute new glowing pet!

The d°light Huggable is available in three colors (white, hot pink and gold) and for $160 each, this pillow is a bit of a splurge. But it could make a great gift for lonely urban dwellers with the winter blahs, or maybe a last-ditch effort to sooth the kid who just can't get over their fear of the dark? Either way, it's pretty freakin' cool!

The tackiest necklace you can buy for $200

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News

I fondly recall spending afternoons playing with My Little Pony and Hot Wheels. Often, that would turn into an afternoon of snapping together beads to create brightly colored necklaces for myself and my stuffed animals. Those were great days.

But, I was five years old, and I wasn't really thinking about fashion.

Alter Ego jewelry, designed by a misguided an enterprising 18-year-old in California, brings things like vintage toys and bright beads together to create a truly unique look that, theoretically, adults would wear. Oh, and also, that adults would pay $50 to $200 to wear.

I get the idea -- it's quirky and fun, and I suppose it might work for fashion-forward pre-teens, but don't expect to see me wearing it any time soon. Or ever.

Karl Lagerfeld: Cute, fuzzy, stuffed?

Filed under: Style in the News

When you curl up in bed at night, covers pulled to your chin to keep out the winter chill, don't you want to something nice and cozy to snuggle up with? How about Karl Lagerfeld?

Sure, the over-the-top fashion industry icon doesn't seem like he'd be squeezable -- and let's be honest: sleeping with him is probably like cuddling with a leather bag. But now thanks to Steiff, a German teddy bear factory, there will be soon be a stuffed animal version of Karl that you can call your very own!

Even stuffed, the designer will be clad in his usual dark sunglasses, suit, high-collared shirt and logo belt buckle -- not exactly an adorable image. But for a true Lagerfeld fan, it will undoubtedly be a must-have item.

Pink cars for little girls and grown-ups too

As a young girl, I played with both Tonka trucks and Barbie (loved her pink Corvette). There weren't any girly cars you could take apart back then but times have changed. Check out the C9P from Automoblox. It's a fun little block car that you can completely dismantle and it has pink tires, a pink roof and little pink people to play with. Come to think of it, this would be pretty fun for grownups too. After all, I had my mini Miata on my desk for years. The little pink car sells for $35.
