Styledash introduces...Brigitte Dale

brigitte daleWe're halfway through Styledash's calorie-free version of an Ice Cream Social, having already met Tracey Gaughran-Perez, Jonathon Morgan, and Sarah J. Gim (hey, that's me!). Next up, it's our Midwest gorgeous girl-next-door.

Brigitte Dale currently lives in...Nebraska! True, Nebraska isn't exactly a fashion hub, but Brigitte likes to think she's doing her part to keep the midwest in step with the rest of the fashion world. Brigitte has always been drawn to all things creative, and her personal taste in fashion tends to lean towards all things feminine, tailored, artistic, or inspired by nature.

In addition to writing for Styledash, she also stays busy with a weekly fashion and relationship advice column and podcast for the Lincoln Journal Star, along with a daily entertainment news video blog for tvsquad.com and contributions to a health and fitness blog, thatsfit.com.

Jaime Pressly: model/actress/designer

Anyone who watches NBC's hit show "My Name is Earl" will be familiar with the name Jaime Pressly. Pressly plays the character of Joy, who is, well, to put it bluntly, a money-grubbing trash heap. And play it she does. Pressly is absolutely inspired in the role.

But now there is another role that Pressly is trying to pull off -- that of a fashion designer. Her clothing line is called J'aime by Jaime Pressly.

(Get it?? J'aime as "I love" -- a name which sounds an awful lot like "With Love...Hilary Duff." What is with celebrities branding and love? I mean, come on, we get it! You're rich. You're famous. We're not. But if you love us anyway maybe we'll buy your stuff. Just quit with the fake love, would you?)

But I digress...

Pressly's designs are intended to flatter a variety of body types, comfortably and stylishly. Pressly says that she's always had an interest in fashion, so starting a new line of clothes has been something of a dream come true.

Project Runway scandal

Filed under: Runway Trends, Style in the News, Clothing

On Wednesday, Project Runway will send one of the four remaining designers a'packing. And in the midst of the competition's excitement, Project Runway may be facing a potential scandal. During the group show in Byrant Park, one of the designers (Laura Bennett) accused another designer (Jeffrey Sebelia) of outsourcing his sewing. Sebelia -- who was known for shabby garment construction during the monitored period of the show -- had turned out a very impressive full collection, with uncharacteristically well-sewn garments. Tim Gunn, the show's design guru had commented that Sebelia's collection was "very ambitious." In the meantime, Bravo producers and executives have investigated the accusation, but refuse to reveal their findings. As for what will happen, well, I guess we'll find out on Wednesday. But one thing is certain, if Sebelia did outsource his sewing he's going to be the one who is "Auf'd!"

The Fashion House always wins

Filed under: Runway Trends, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

With a Dynasty-worthy helping of big hair, fake tans, and bitch-slaps, the new show "Fashion House" will premiere on MyNetworkTV on September 5th. Starring 80s bombshells Morgan Fairchild and Bo Derek, "Fashion House" follows two "industry executives" through the wild, unpredictable world of designer fashion.

Like all shows about the fashion industry ("America's Next Top Model", "Seventh Avenue"), "Fashion House" promises to have lots of beautiful people behaving very badly. And that, my friends, is a television plot line I'll gladly smash a glass of champagne to...
