We are completely convinced, anything Diane von Furstenberg touches turns to gold, including Debra Messing. The twosome is a combination that is literally, blowing our minds right now. We aren't sure if we're more excited about this maxi dress that needs to be in our closet right now, adorable Debra, or the magnificent Diane who we sort of might be a little bit in love with. Okay a lot in love with. We are a lot in love with DVF. There, we said it!

How hot is Becki Newton? We've been in love with her ever since she first sneered at America Ferrera on Ugly Betty. This actress is gorgeous, hilarious, and while her character Amanda often goes over the top, Newton has a classy style.

You probably know actress Becki Newton best as fashionable Amanda Tanen on Ugly Betty. What you probably didn't know about Miss Newton is that she was not always the prettiest Betty herself. Her old school looks consisted of first grade teacher ensembles countered with high school hair and makeup. Instead of looking 25, she looked 15!

But oh how time is kind to some. And a styling team doesn't seem to hurt either! In just two years, Becki has transformed from conservative to kazaam! We mean it – kaZAAM! Just take a look at her transformation from goo to gaga in the gallery.

America Ferrera was dressed to win at the 2008 ALMA Awards. And win she did! America walked away with the Entertainer of the Year award not to mention a landslide of A+ reviews for her adorable strapless Diane von Furstenberg dress, adorable Christian Louboutin peep toes and the yummy red lip. But what we loved most were those stunning fan Fred Leighton earrings. To die.

And may we add, America is such an excellent role model. She has a killer fashion sense, knows what to wear and how to wear it, but still looks like she can have her cake and eat it too, literally. Kudos America. We need more lush ladies like you around!

We told you that Ugly Betty was packing it up and heading off to NYC. Now it looks like they might try to branch out into some kind of all-singing, all-dancing Broadway musical when they get there. According to cast member Michael Urie -- who plays assistant Marc St. James on the show -- a project that started with the idea to turn one episode into a musical is now being spun off into an actual stage production. Here's what he told Britain's Heart FM:

"They do want to do an "Ugly Betty" musical, a full-on Broadway musical, but it's all hush-hush. I think it would be great, and they should use the cast from the show. I think we would all do it, although we maybe don't dance and sing as well as professional singers and dancers. I think it would be fun for us to do it for a while, and then they could get real people in. They definitely want to do an episode that is a musical one, but then they want to do a full stage show. I think it's a great idea. It would definitely work."

We've got to give it to Naomi Campbell. The icon is never for a dull moment.

In the last six months alone, she's been arrested, banned from an airport, tapped to front Yves Saint Laurent's fall ad campaign, and managed to land a guest role on the season finale of Ugly Betty.

After three stints of rehab, a string of unsuccessful movies, and a line of leggings, Lindsay Lohan will now be turning towards television in an effort to revive her lagging career.

In what is turning out to be one of the most epic season finales that we can remember, Ugly Betty has now tapped Lohan to star alongside supermodel Naomi Campbell, plus Elle magazine's Robbie Myers and Joe Zee in the show's season ender.

Building a fake New York City in the back lots of LA is expensive and difficult -- not to mention ridiculously unnecessary when there's a perfectly good real NYC only a few thousand miles away. Apparently, Ugly Betty's producers have finally caught on to this revolutionary concept, and insiders say the whole production is headed for the East Coast. No more green screens of New York skylines or LA streets dressed up to look like New York -- next season's Ugly Betty will be shot in the real Gotham.

We're a little confused over why they even started filming the show in LA, except maybe that they didn't expect the show to last 2 seasons, but they were obviously dead wrong. Now that they're looking at the long-term, ABC execs are looking for ways to cut down costs and still get that authentic New York vibe. We think they'll be happy with their decision. New Yorkers Vanessa Williams and Ana Ortiz are probably happy about it too.

Naomi's had a crazy year thus far: she had an emergency surgery in Brazil in February and then was arrested for hocking a loogey on a cop in London's Heathrow Airport in April. Now, it seems that the rage-prone supermodel will be toning it down and getting back to business with a cameo in the season finale of Ugly Betty. It's about time that her agent found her something to do that would net her some good PR for a change.

Like any year, 2007 was full of memorable, and oh-so-forgettable, fashion moments. The casual fashionista probably noticed H&M, Target, and other mainstream retailers stopped carrying the annoyingly bold, 80s-inspired fashions that'd been a staple for far too long, opting instead for a re-invention of the 90s -- grunge, grime, and even retro-gaming were big in the second half of the year.

But what were the foul-ups -- the big industry issues that, regardless of major trends, will live on in infamy? According to Eric Wilson at the NY Times, these were the worst of the worst:

• Vera Wang's cameo on Ugly Betty
• The ultra-thin model controversy, and the almost complete lack of any non-white models on catwalks and magazine covers
• Wedding gowns based on Disney characters
• The "I am not a plastic bag" obsession
• Anna Wintour's appearance on Stardoll

Agreed -- all of that was awful.

What were your most-hated fashion happenings in 2007?

You've almost undoubtedly seen an episode or two of Ugly Betty -- the show that follows a stereotypically unattractive girl through the exploits at a high-profile fashion magazine. It's funny, right?

But what if it were true?

Hoping to cash in on the show's success, VH1 is rumored to be developing a reality TV version of the show, called "America the Ugly," that will follow real-life "ugly" women who work in the fashion industry. Becky Southwick, the infamous booker on The Agency, known for biting comments like "You've got fatter. And yes, I've just said the F-word,'' is set to host the program, and provide her usual commentary.

While mean-spirited reality TV personalities like Southwick, or Simon Cal, can be funny, it seems like this is crossing the line. Models on The Agency and contestants on American Idol have asked to be judged, and want desperately to work in industries based almost entirely on your appearance. But will people really want to watch Southwick pick on random employees at fashion houses and style magazines who don't meet her standards?

So don't let her name fool you: Ugly Betty is hot -- or at least her glasses seem to be, as Hilary Alexander points out. Betty's signature red frames have cropped up in at least a half-dozen of this year's eye wear lines. From Miu Miu to Dolce & Gabbana, red glasses have gone from geek to chic (and expensive!).

Of course, Ugly Betty and her glasses may not last another season. Until then, I'll sign onto anything that counters the hegemony of those stupid black hipster glasses.

'Ugly Betty' star America Ferrera gets to take off the fake brows and the fake braces she wears as Betty Suarez and get glammed up for the May issue of W magazine. The actress appears in a beautiful photo shoot shot by Michael Thompson and styled by Camilla Nickerson and is also the subject of an interview which is available online. The article unfortunately doesn't go into her fashion likes and dislikes but it does reveal that America is nearly as perky and upbeat as the character she plays on television. The story online also features some black and white photos of America and a video of the shoot.
