That's a sexy toilet

I'm a firm believer that life is enhanced through good design. Why shouldn't everything we use be aesthetically appealing as well as functional? So you can imagine my joy at the darling new designers for high-end home urinals.

Yes, urinals in your house. Seriously, why not? They make for far better targets than regular in-home toilets, and they look awesome.

At first, customers weren't quite ready to drop between $1K and $2K on a fancy potty, especially given the resistance from their wives. But now that the fixtures have cropped up in boutique hotels and restaurants, more and more men are taking the plunge. They're buying models in the shape of teardrops, spoons -- even ornate flowers, like this giant mutant orchid.

So what do you think? A clever enhancement to your urinating experience, or just expensive kitsch?
