Men's Slippers Out on the Town - Yea or Nay?

Slippers are becoming a men's fashion trend outside the home

Traditionally, wearing a pair of comfy slippers out in public has been perfectly acceptable for 3 types of people: babies, chronic slackers, and college students. According to the Financial Times (the obvious authority on all breaking fashion trends?), slipper makers are noticing that their products are showing up in all sorts of unusual places where the slipper was formerly unacceptable -- from the bar to the office meeting. Is it time for the 'house shoe' to invade the outdoors?

Random sexy italian lingerie: Parah Noir

While looking for something else, we stumbled upon this fabulously Italian lingerie line, Parah Noir, and their sexy Milan fashion show. From what we can gather through Google translation of an Italian fashion blog, it's a legendary corset line that was big in the 90s, and they're making a comeback.

Two of the models were were sexy Italian film "stars" Linda Santaguida and Costantino Vitagliano. Apparently they're a couple, and love each other a lot based on these steamy pool photos.

At first we thought it wasn't a terribly practical line, but once we saw the picture of models wearing the velvety, bondage bras standing at the buffet table, it made a strange sort of "only in Italy" sense.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! We love to party, tomorrow! It's only a day...a...waaay!

Gasp! Tomorrow, girls, it's New Year's Eve! And you still don't have a party dress?!?! I guess you could scrounge around in that enormous closet of yours and come up with something, but with being such the Holiday socialite this whole month, you've cycled through your entire rack of LBDs!

Not to worry, because the great thing about NYE is that it's after Christmas, which means you get to cash in on on all the after-Christmas sales. Retailers are trying to clean their stockrooms of all those holiday dresses, so head over to Banana Republic and pick up this darling red velvet party dress with a fitted tank-style bodice, full, flirty skirt, and get this -- it has pockets. You know how much I love pockets. Of course, that that doesn't mean I wouldn't still carry a cute little black velvet clutch to match the black velvet sash on the dress.

Call over a few friends, because it's your last chance to see them before you head over to your parents' house to play dutiful daughter.

The Velvet Jersey Tunic is perfect for keeping it mellow.
