We'd like you to meet handbag designer Lesia Griffin of 144 Collection. Lesia creates one-of-a-kind custom handbags and accessories as well as limited edition bags in a variety of eye-catching prints and styles.

Today's featured indie label is Fugsly, a quirky handbag and accessory company based in Glasgow, Scotland. Designer Nicole creates one-of-a-kind pieces and happily takes on custom orders to help you create a truly unique finishing touch for any outfit.

One of the best ways to finish off an ensemble for a big night out is with the right purse. Generally, if we're doing the club scene and getting all dolled up, we like a fab little clutch with enough personality to hold its own. However, we're not going to carry it all the time -- just on certain occasions -- so we don't want to spend a ton of money on it.

I don't know why the "wristlet" is suddenly now becoming so popular, as if the convenience of carrying "just enough" in a tiny satchel attached securely to one's wrist was some great innovation. I have been stashing cash, credit card, ID, a tiny Sugar lipgloss, and my cell phone in a slightly oversized changepurse to which I have attached a handy little matching strap for years.

But I suppose my makeshift wristlets just won't do anymore with gorgeous ones like the selection from Marketa New York. The lovely feature of these wristlets is the use of a bangle, rather than just a simple loop of matching material as a strap. Jewelry is hardly ever a functional accessory, but now it is! My favorite it the antique gold, perfect for this season's love affair with metallics.
