Diane Kruger in Zac Posen - I Want That!

Apparently we aren't the only ones with a major Zac Posen affliction. Gorgeous actress Diane Kruger chose a blush taffeta confection by the designer for the Berlin Film Festival. We love this gown because it takes all of the most romantic elements of 18th century French Rococo and Baroque periods and brings them up to speed with a shiny, crinkly fabric and neutral hue. Diane further modernizes the look by pairing color with color (Read: navy satin clutch) and topping it all off with a cute, jeweled headband.

Freida Pinto in Zac Posen - I Want That!

Along with the rest of the world, we are 100% head over heels for newbie Freida Pinto. She is another that proves once again that a fantastic dress, heel, and clutch – nothing more, nothing less – is the best path to easy, effortless style.

While we definitely still think her Golden Globes Christian Lacroix number was the most amazing, this gilded Zac Posen one shoulder was definitely an appropriate choice for the Director's Guild Awards. Gilty pun intended? Maybe, maybe not. Regardless, we are anxiously waiting to see Freida at the Oscar's. Because if it's better than what we've seen thus far, our heads will explode because our minds will be totally blown. Can't wait for that!

Target just got cooler again

Anya Hindmarch and Sigerson Morrison made handbags and shoes for Target! And you know what? They look good.

Target is building up an impressive roster of designers. Mizrahi started the craze, and since then, top international designers have been flocking to the big red bullseye of cheap chic. Target has previously featured Stella McCartney, Zac Posen, and Luella Bartley, to name just a few.

Zac Posen designs for Target

Well this hardly seems fair! We (USA) get a Target collection from Milla Jovovich and they (Australia) get a collection from Zac Posen. No offense Milla but if I were given a choice I would take Zac, sorry.

Everyone's favorite young designer, Zac Posen will debut his red carpet looks to Target on April 3rd in Australia. One piece in his collection that many people are excited about is the white gown Grey's Anatomy's Katherine Heigl wore at the Emmy Awards. The dress will retail at $299.99, which may sound high but can you imagine what the original couture gown costs? Yeah, under $300 is sounding more like a deal isn't it! The Heigl dress will be the most expensive piece in the collection and only 50 will be made. The rest of the collection won't be so expensive, prices will start at $49.99 (for a belt).

I for one am excited to see the collection even though I think Target is out of their ever loving minds for selling $300 dresses and $50 belts -- don't care who designed it this is Target please give me a real deal.

DHL and Zac Posen go "green" during LA Fashion Week

Upon entering Smashbox Studios for Fashion Week Daily's LA Fashion Week Kickoff Party, you can't help but notice DHL's bright red and yellow booth and wonder, "What are they doing here?" DHL is a delivery service.

DHL is proactively supporting LA Fashion Week's green initiative by providing several eco-friendly products for the designers, buyers, models and journalists attending the event.

Guests of LA Fashion Week can ship their goods directly from the venue using products made from recycled materials. DHL is even distributing the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week schedule cards, which are printed on recycled paper. They are also giving away a limited-edition tote bag designed by Zac Posen. The "Tote for Teachers" is part of a fundraising partnership benefiting TeachersCount, a non-profit that supports teachers.

If you aren't lucky enough to attend LA Fashion Week, you can still reap the benefits of DHL's good work by purchasing their red and yellow leather tote for $400 at www.toteforteachers.org, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the organization.

Five Must-Have Looks for Spring

I am wild about Spring, girls. Wild, I tell you. For some reason, while other seasons have had one, two, maybe three very prominent trends, this Spring 2007 is all about...everything. It's as if every trend from the last few years has converged into right now. Patent leather. Metallics. Wide belts. Shorts. Big and bold. Soft and sweet. You name it, it's probably fashionable for spring. All except, thankfully, the skinny jean.

Nautical or Nice - They had to do something so we could wear anchors around our necks, right? Nautical is all about brunching at the Yacht Club in dark navy, crisp white, bright red, and gold accessories. Strangely, I have always associated the nautical look with Spring and Summer, regardless of trendiness.
