What Should Michelle Wear?
On January 20th 2009, Barack Obama will be sworn in as our 44th President -- instantly becoming one of the most significant leaders in United States history. What will he say? How will he act? And, most importantly, what will Michelle wear?
Style bible Women's Wear Daily has been wondering the same thing, and enlisted the world's most prominent designers to sketch ideas for the future First Lady. Check out our favorites from the American designers.

Purple is undoubtedly the "it" color of the season, and Isaac Mizrahi offers a fashion-forward option that (at least to us) seems the most in keeping with what Michelle normally wears. Bonus points for offering options for Sasha and Malia, too!

Regal, elegant and timeless -- a stunning formal gown from Michael Kors.

The First Family would certainly be the center of attention in Oscar de la Renta's trio of red, white and blue confections.

Peter Som channels Jackie K. to offer Michelle O a totally timeless, utterly sophisticated "winter white" gown.

The President-elect has sworn to work closely with both parties to unite the country. And with Reem Acra's brash, take-no-prisoners gown in Republican red, his wife could show her support for that agenda on her first night as First Lady.

Tracy Reese suggests a delightfully elegant, classically feminine gown for the lady of the hour.

Betsey Johnson's gown gives a nod to her punk-rock sensibility, while boldly embracing the patriotism of the occasion.

A marked contrast from Betsey's in-your-face, inauguration-ball bananza is an ultra-refined evening gown by Diane Von Furstenberg.

Share your closet with the world - Closet Couture
Filed under: Accessories, Clothing
If you're a hyper organized fashionista (or just want to look like one) closetcouture.com just may be the website you've been looking for. Once you sign up (it's free) you create a closet by uploading pictures of every item you own - from dresses to belts and everything in between. As painful as this sounds, it's a great excuse to go over every single item you own - if it's not photo-worthy, why keep it?
Once you've created your closet, you can plan outfits, create packing lists, asks "friends" for advice, or even hire a stylist to help you round out your wardrobe. It even has a calendar feature to help you keep track of your clothes!
One of the things we like about the service is that it makes cataloging your wardrobe relatively easy. Once you know what you have in your closet you will undoubtedly learn more about your personal style and maybe will stop buying the same things over and over again. Or are we the only ones that do that?

How to Wear Warm and Cool Colors
People always get intimidated by the task of choosing colors, and ask Mezhgan for advice on what will work well on their skin tone. The good news is that anybody can wear any color, as long as it's balanced. You might not have picked that bright eye shadow for our lovely model India, but it looks great on her because the rest of her make up goes with it. The important thing is to make sure that the colors are in harmony with each other -- not working against each other!

So note to self: if you go with blue shadow, then skip the peach cheeks with red lips. As you can see, even on someone as beautiful as India, when there is too much going on it's distracting!

Here is India with a scrubbed face. You can see that she has naturally warm undertones -- and she will look great in warm or cool tones!

Here are some tips that can help narrow it down:
If you have a warm skin tone warm earthy tones, like the shades pictured here, are going to be more natural on your skin. If you wanted more of a pop you would use cooler colors on the color spectrum, which will contrast against the warmth of your skin and stand out a bit more.

Warm tones on India's naturally warm coloring give her a subtle, but still polished look.

You can see how cool tones work just as well on India, but pop in a different way. And it works the opposite way for people with cooler undertones (meaning more red in your skin) -- earthy tones are actually going to be more of a dramatic look on you because they will contrast against the coolness of your skin tone.

Alias Premium Denim - Jeans review
Let's be honest -- when it comes to jean companies' claims, we've heard it all before. They each say they'll make your butt look good and your legs look thin. Those are lies, all lies! So needless to say, we were skeptical when we heard about Alias Premium Denim. Alias said that their jeans would be cheaper -- and better. We had to find out the truth.
