You Might Not Want to Wax After This

Remember when hair removal didn't involve being spread-eagled in front of a woman who wasn't your gynecologist? You might want to go back to those good ol' days after trying The Art of Shaving's new shaving kit for women. Not only does the rose-scented formula smell better than sticky wax, the pre-shave gel and rich shaving cream -- which you brush on like an ol' school barber -- offers a shave precise enough to rival your wax job.

The New Look at Old Navy

          By JACKIE NASSER

Get ready for a whole new Old Navy. Though the popular chain has slowly been transitioning its image from quirky kitsch (remember those ads with Carrie Donovan and Morgan Fairchild?) to trendy sophistication, a brand new logo is making it official. Beginning in February, Old Navy will go the way of KFC, trading its full name for the minimally chic initials ON, presented in a deep marine blue.

With designer Todd Oldham at the helm since October, Old Navy is also revamping its image with a younger, trendier customer in mind. "We're launching more than just a new line," said Old Navy spokeswoman Rebecca Weill. "We're celebrating, really, a whole new Old Navy." The plan seemed to be working at the brand's launch party in New York this week, with celebrities like Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Kristen Bell and Gossip Girl Blake Lively in attendance with singer Natasha Bedingfield and DJ AM entertaining a stylish young crowd.

The new fashions will arrive in stores in February, kicking off with a 'Safari' collection that includes belted rompers ($30), cuffed shorts ($20), printed sundresses ($30) and fitted pencil skirts ($30). A new collection will hit stores every month after that, each with a different theme. Fans can look forward to the print-heavy 'Palm Beach' (think color blocked tube tops and palm tree print Bermudas), 'Ethnic Print' (long jersey dresses in African-inspired patterns) and 'Seersucker' (blazers and pants for summer).

Oldham's touch can also be seen in a chic new accessories line. Oversized giraffe print clutches in linen with wooden details, wide-waist belts, peep-toe ankle boots and high heel oxfords ensure that Old Navy shoppers will officially be on top of every trend.
