Celebrities Wearing Crocs

What started off as a fashion fluke has become a full-on "don't-you-dare-call-them-plastic" shoe invasion. While everyone from the creators of IHateCrocs.com to The New York Times have declared the shoe's stylishness as questionable at best, these celebrities haven't gotten the memo.

Not so Pretty, Baby! Brooke Shields showed up a party in June wearing these (shocking) pink plastic shoes. But Brooke's reps explained away her fashion faux pas: the actress was recovering from foot surgery for an old injury she got from dancing on Broadway.

It looks like Aerosmith's lead singer (and actress Liv Tyler's pop) Steven Tyler is finally taking his first step towards retiring by trading in his rocker footwear for these geriatric slides.

Ruggedly handsome actor Aaron Eckhart shows his softer side in an ensemble that includes a puffer jacket, flannel vegetable-strewn PJs, and coordinated malleable Crocs.

Regarding Soprano's star Edie Falco's choice of shoes, let's just say we wouldn't be caught dead in them, or, try swimming with the fishes in them -- even if they are waterproof.

We would prefer a ban on all plastic clog-like shoes. But for anyone under the age of 3 (and as adorable as Violet Affleck-Garner), we'll make an exception. Especially since the slides are about the only kids' shoes that are sandbox-proof.

Dear Mr. Morgan Freeman, we love your work, we admire your choice of roles, but to see you in Crocs, leaves us blue.

Food TV star and renown chef Mario Batali might be the biggest Crocs fan out there. His devotion is so complete that he even wore his signature orange shoes to a red-carpet premiere. At least he had the "good taste" to pair them with shorts.

Rosie, Rosie, Rosie. Just because you're wearing a hard hat doesn't mean you have to wear your tough-as-steel yellow Crocs! This looks like a 'YMCA' kickline with a 'Croslite' twist.

Adam Sandler and his wife look like they're heading to two totally different events: While he's on his way to his backyard with a windbreaker and his Crocs, while his wife seems to be on her way to a cocktail party.

You can make all the snippy comments you wish...BUT...if your feet, back, or kn ees hurt...there is nothing better for your feet than CROCS! They even make special ones for people with diabetes. Doctors carry them in their offices. I hope your feet stay wonderful foreve r....but they probably won't. Someh ow....when we aren't paying attention.. ..our bodies let us down. Stay ...F OREVER YOUNG!

Birkies have ruined me for real shoes. A nd I love Crocs. Why does fashion have the right to dictate comfort. I think s ome sore looser shoe designers are jeal ous of their success. I don't care what 's in style when it comes to my poor wo rn out feet! So don't throw away the Cr oc molds just yet!! And they last along time too.

I love the Croc's they are so very comfo rtable no They remind me of the earth s hoe that was out in the late 70's, I al so have ruined my feet with high heels. They are the only shoe I can wear com fortable without wearing orthodic's. I also have the ones that have the washab le liner in them for the cooler weather . I found them at Super Kmart great pri ce, And they keep your feet so warm , N o more squeezing toes lots of room. It is a very good everyday fun shoe that f eels great!
