What started off as a fashion fluke has become a full-on "don't-you-dare-call-them-plastic" shoe invasion. While everyone from the creators of IHateCrocs.com to The New York Times have declared the shoe's stylishness as questionable at best, these celebrities haven't gotten the memo.

Not so Pretty, Baby! Brooke Shields showed up a party in June wearing these (shocking) pink plastic shoes. But Brooke's reps explained away her fashion faux pas: the actress was recovering from foot surgery for an old injury she got from dancing on Broadway.

Regarding Soprano's star Edie Falco's choice of shoes, let's just say we wouldn't be caught dead in them, or, try swimming with the fishes in them -- even if they are waterproof.

We would prefer a ban on all plastic clog-like shoes. But for anyone under the age of 3 (and as adorable as Violet Affleck-Garner), we'll make an exception. Especially since the slides are about the only kids' shoes that are sandbox-proof.

Birkies have ruined me for real shoes. A nd I love Crocs. Why does fashion have the right to dictate comfort. I think s ome sore looser shoe designers are jeal ous of their success. I don't care what 's in style when it comes to my poor wo rn out feet! So don't throw away the Cr oc molds just yet!! And they last along time too.

I love the Croc's they are so very comfo rtable no They remind me of the earth s hoe that was out in the late 70's, I al so have ruined my feet with high heels. They are the only shoe I can wear com fortable without wearing orthodic's. I also have the ones that have the washab le liner in them for the cooler weather . I found them at Super Kmart great pri ce, And they keep your feet so warm , N o more squeezing toes lots of room. It is a very good everyday fun shoe that f eels great!
