The 20 Worst Grammy Outfits of All Time

The fashions on the 2009 Grammy red carpet were nothing to brag about but there wasn't a single look that makes the cut for the 20 worst of all time. M.I.A. came close rocking this sheer polka dot mini on her due date, but believe it or not, it isn't even the worst pregnancy fashion the Grammy Awards have seen. Keep clicking to see which 20 looks beat this black and white disaster.

Paula Abdul at The 32nd Annual Grammy Awards in 1990
We can only assume that the future America Idol judge had nothing to wear to the Grammys. Why else would she have turned up in one of her old Laker girl costumes?

Dress like a goth fairy princess if you must. But if you are going to go for a fantasy ensemble at least make sure your bandmates don't turn up dressed like bouncers at a third-rate nightclub.

Toni Braxton at The 43rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2001
In 2000 Jennifer Lopez wore her now famous nearly naked Versace dress to the Grammys. The next year Toni Braxton made the fatal fashion error of trying to out diva JLo and ended up looking like a lost patient in paper hospital gown.

Bette Midler at tThe 17th Annual Grammy Awards in 1975
As offensive as Stevie Wonder's suit may look to the modern eye, he was actually perfectly in style for 1975. As for Bette Midler, we're confident that stabbing a record into your hair has never been considered fashionable.

Annie Lennox at The 37th Annual Grammy Awards in 1995
There are bad fashion choices and then there is this latex Minnie Mouse ensemble. Two words: Disney nightmares.

Celine Dion at The 35th Annual Grammy Awards in 1993
There is nothing like seeing Celine Dion practically naked to help you appreciate her normally questionable fashion sense. We have never had such a longing to see her infamous reverse tuxedo!

Sheryl Crow The 44th Annual Grammy Awards in 2002
If the weather warranted a floor-length fur coat, perhaps Sheryl Crow should have thought to put a dress on top of her corset?

Barbra Streisand at The 22nd Annual Grammy Awards in 1980
Yes, jumpsuits were in style in 1980. Yes, they are in again in 2008. But it has never has been and never will be chic to wear a lavender, draped, rhinestone-covered version (with matching lavender eyeshadow, no less).

Mary J. Blige at The 38th Annual Grammy Awards in 1996
Wearing leopard print can be a definite fashion do, but dressing like a leopard? Now that's a whole different story. We'd hide behind sunglasses, too.
