Fall for Seasonal Decor

HuffPost Social Reading

It's hard to believe that summer is over, but with snow storms and scarves a part of life, we can't deny it any longer. And why would we want to? Fall means we can swap out all of those bright colors for warm tones and swap out fresh salads and sundresses for stews and sweaters. We at Gifts.com are big fans of this new reason to celebrate and shop!

Here are some small touches that go a long way in preparing your house or apartment for autumnal entertaining. Some of these make great hostess gifts, too; like the serving pieces and tableware.

Enjoy the fall before getting an early start on buying your Christmas gifts!

Fall Foliage: Beautifully shaped leaves don't just have to exist in the yard to crunch under your feet. Bring those undeniably fall shapes into your decor with serving trays, throw pillows and table linens.
Hues of Autumn: Warm brown, gold and orange make up the palette for fall. A bold dash of these solid hues will make your seasonal décor pop in the dining, room and living room.

Nature's Bounty: They don't call it the harvest moon for nothing. Celebrate the season of plenty with hearty wreaths and centerpieces.

Oh my Gourd: Autumn is not complete without pumpkins and gourds of all kinds. Instead of buying the ones at the grocery store that don't last the whole season, pick up gourd-shaped accessories that you can bring out year after year.

Nature's Bounty: They don't call it the harvest moon for nothing. Celebrate the season of plenty with hearty wreaths and centerpieces.
