Plot twists and special guest stars aren't the only reasons we're so excited about the return of our favorite TV shows. From Mad Men's old-school 'dos to Heroes' futuristic styles, there are plenty of pretty new looks that you can pull off easily-and in less time than it'll take you to figure out how to work that allegedly "universal" remote.

Mad Men: How to get Betty Draper's ladylike look
To transform actress January Jones into her Grace Kelly-esque character, Mad Men makeup artist Debbie Zoller focuses on clean matte skin and dramatic red lips. Zoller uses Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation with Lancome Dual Finish Powder on top to give skin a matte finish that still has a subtle, modern luster. To create the perfect leading-lady pout, Zoller layers MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick over MAC Cherry Lip Pencil.

Mad Men: How to get Joan's bedroom eyes
"I modeled Joan's look after the famous '50s model Suzie Parker," says Zoller. "With the gorgeous red hair accenting actress Christina Hendricks' face, her makeup is all about her eyes. I use Shiseido The Makeup Fine Eyeliner with false eyelashes." To apply false eyelashes in seconds-and avoid sticky fingers!-use tweezers. If that sounds too stressful, pick up some stick-on lashes from the drugstore and cut a big strip into quarters. Apply just one section to the outer edge of the top lid and then start practicing your come-hither stare.

Mad Men: How to get Peggy's girl-next-door style
To complement Elizabeth Moss's hardworking, pragmatic character Peggy, Zoller gave her dewy skin and shiny hair, a la Annette Funicello, in the retro movie Beach Blanket Bingo. "To keep her skin young and fresh, I use Kate Somerville Gentle Daily Wash and Sommerville's Exfoli-Kate, a skin-care product that contains cinnamon that makes her skin glow in a pretty, healthy way-without using any blush! It's fantastic!" says Zoller. As for Peggy's signature blunt baby bangs, while they look cute on-screen, think before you snip-they take a long time to grow out!

Mad Men: How to get the sexy secretary look
The secretaries that make up the supporting cast of Mad Men's Sterling Cooper office nearly steal the show. To get their sexy look, style brows in a delicate arch and line lightly with a brow pencil. "Be careful not to go too heavy or it will look like McDonald's golden arches!" says Zoller. Apply a black mascara like Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara to top lashes only. Use cream blush like Julie Hewitt Cheekies on apples of cheeks, smiling while you apply to target the right area. Line lips with a matte pencil-adding slight points at the upper center of the top lip for that classic '60s look-and finish with a matching lipstick. Zoller likes MAC Lip Liner in Brick or Cherry with CoverGirl Incredifull Lipcolor #964 in Maximum Red.

Heroes: How to get Claire's futuristic eye makeup
Set four years in the future, this season's Heroes features a more grown-up Claire, with super smoky eyes. Lori Madrigal, the show's makeup artist, uses white-silver eye shadow to highlight Hayden Panettiere's lids and brows. Then Madrigal uses Chanel's black sparkle shadow in the crease and up onto the brow bone. Black pencil liner is applied on top of the powder for added intensity, and false lashes are used on the outer corners to make Panettiere's eyes really pop. Lips and cheeks are kept sleek and clean-looking thanks to Stila Pot in Pecan, a faded pink and Chanel's peachy powder blush.

Heroes: How to get Niki's natural glow
In keeping with her strong, serene personality, Ali Larter's character now has a fresh, natural glow. "She's wearing plenty of makeup, but it almost looks like she's wearing nothing," says Madrigal. To get Niki's clean, peaches 'n' cream look, apply Armani Luminous powder foundation with a brush. Sweep light brown shadow into the crease of the eye and then apply light beige shadow on the lid. Stick to brown mascara and lipstick in a natural coral hue to keep the look soft.

Heroes: How to get Maya's sultry hairstyle
Brittenham spritzes actress Dania Ramirez's long hair with thermal protectant and Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm, then blow-dries with a round brush to create an easy, natural wave. A shine serum is applied afterward to control frizz and create a sleek, sexy shape.

Gossip Girl: How to get Blair's polished pout
"Blair is always controlled and polished, and her makeup is reflective of that," says Gossip Girl makeup artist Amy Tagliamonti, who avoids using big pops of color on Leighton Meester's Blair and accents her smooth and smooth and clean skin with a strong mouth in deep pink shades by Chanel and Nars.

Gossip Girl: How to get Serena's flirty eyes
"Serena is more trendy, so we mix up her makeup a lot," says Tagliamonti. "We've moved away from her strong liner look of last year to a shimmer-smudged eye with lots of mascara." To get the look Blake Lively is sporting this season, smudge Stila Kitten or Oasis shadow around eyes like you would a liner. To bring fair lashes into focus, apply Dior 'DiorShow' Unlimited mascara, brush with a metal comb, then run a fan brush across the clean bottom lashes to give them a little extra color. To get Serena's cherubic cheeks, dab on a little Cargo For Cheeks Blush in Catalina, a true pink blush Lively herself can't live without. "She likes the pop of pink," says Tagliamonti. (And so do we!)
