Hair texture type: Beyoncé's hair is vulnerable to frizz says stylist Kim Kimble, founder of Kimble Hair Care Systems, who has worked with Beyoncé for 11 years. So Kimble makes sure to use moisture and hold to keep the celeb's hair soft and sleek.
Going curly: To style Beyoncé's curls, Kimble recommends a curling serum like Kimble Bounce Back Curl Revitalizer. It contains hydrating and conditioning agents to shape spirals and nourish hair. Apply it to wet hair after towel-drying it first. "If you have really, really curly hair, finger-comb it through and let hair dry naturally," she says. "Diffuse it if you want more volume or if you have wavy hair and you want more curl. If your curls aren't as structured, diffuse your hair with a dryer to bounce back in some curl."
Making it Straight: The key to locking out frizz is to hydrate strands and seal out humidity. Use a serum like Kérastase Nutritive Sérum Oléo-Relax , with shorea and palm oils plus a little silicone, to wet hair (or use a leave-in conditioner that's not too heavy) and then blow it out with a paddle brush. To smooth flyaways, run over them with a flat iron, and then touch up with a dab of finishing serum (staying away from the roots to avoid flatness) to smooth split ends.
