Anna Wintour is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world, known for her impeccable taste and impressive wardrobe. It's understood that as the Editor-in-Chef of VOGUE she would have a clothing allowance on top of her salary (hello, if the EIC of Vogue doesn't have a killer wardrobe, who will?) but the rumored amount is actually staggering.
The New York Times' T Magazine recently broke down the figures at Vogue in a "By the Numbers" piece, and reported that Wintour's annual wardrobe allowance is rumored to be $200,000. Yes, that's two hundred thousand dollars worth of shoes and dresses and sunglasses EACH YEAR. Not that she hasn't earned it: she's been with the glossy known as the Fashion Bible for 29 years, and is taking on an even larger role at Conde Nast. Since the fashion world is ever-changing and evolving, it's actually really important that its most influential figure stays up-to-date on the most current trends and latest collections.
