1.) Start by shampooing and conditioning your hair with Aveeno Nourish + Shine products ($7). Nourish + Shine shampoo and conditioner are formulated with wheat complex and palm extract to help replenish moisture and add shine to dull or damaged hair.
2.) Don't overdo it. Washing your hair every day can strip it of its natural oils and cause it to look dryer and duller than it should. Many stylists recommend washing hair every other day or every third day, especially in dry weather.
3.) If your hair is very dry or damaged, treat it with a moisturizing oil blend like Kérastase Elixir Ultime ($50), which is made up of four nourishing oils: maize, argan, camellia, and pracaxi. It fortifies hair and gives it a brilliant shine. You may also consider a shine serum like Sachajuan Shine Serum ($30), but use it only on the ends so it doesn't make your hair look greasy.
4.) Spray on a lightweight shine enhancer like Pantene Pro-V Heat Protection Shine Spray (about $6) or Bumble and Bumble Big Shine (about $19) to make your hair catch the light and to complete your look.
