If you followed this season of The Bachelorette as closely as we did, you were in for a roller coaster ride of ups and downs with Desiree. And so you understand our huge relief and happiness for Des when she found love with now-fiance Chris Siegfried.

One of our favorite parts of Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons is seeing what the contestants wear to rose ceremonies, the finale dresses most of all. We spoke with the stylist behind everything Bachelorette about Desiree's dress, Cary Fetman, and he gave us the scoop.

All through the journey, the plan was for Des to design her own dress, just as she had when she first met Sean on his season of The Bachelor. It came to a point, Fetman tells us, where there simply wasn't enough time. Des decided that finding her husband was more important than designing the dress, and so the search began. He brought her a selection of dresses to choose from and apparently as soon as Des saw the Randi Rahm gown, she was sold.

The moment she tried it on, she knew it was the one. Fetman joked that though she had her mind made up she asked him to "show [her] one to try on," and that she'd try it on if he wanted her to. But they both knew the search was over. "Desiree is creative, she knows dresses, she knows what works for her."

The blush gown, Fetman tells us, is just like Des: soft but structured. It was a romantic choice, but not your typical chiffon gown. It has intricately hand-sewn crystal detailing on the bodice, and while it might not have been quite as sparkly as her other dresses throughout the season, it was true to her style.

Paired with heels from Badgley Mischka and drop earrings, Des looked lovely.
