In the fashion world, people are just as obsessive about their workouts as they are about getting their hands on the latest Céline bag, and trendy new options are popping up all the time. Trust us when we tell you that our industry is full of editors, models and the like who are just as toned as they are well-dressed, so if you want to get fit like fashion person in 2014, why not try one of the activities they swear by?

Why try? Full disclosure: I am a SoulCycle fanatic. For the last two years, the cash I used to spend shopping has gone towards these spinning classes, but I've never felt better - and don't just take my word for it. Walking into a SoulCycle studio is a who's who of the industry, from high-powered editors to CEOs to major models, it's like Fashion Week all over again.
Do it yourself: SoulCycle studios and boutique spinning classes are popping up all over the country. They won't come cheap - classes start at $34 each - but if you find an instructor that you like and who plays music you love, not only do the 45 minutes fly by, you'll look forward to each class.

Why try? Models and editors turn to boxing for the cardio/strength combo that each fast-paced workout provides. There's a reason that a number of Victoria's Secret Angels turn to NYC-based boxing guru Michael Olajide at Aerospace before the big runway show each year.
Do it yourself: Sign up for a boxing class at your local gym - or invest in a punching bag for your living room - and just see how energized and powerful you feel after just a few sessions. Not only is it a total body workout, it's great for blowing off some steam.

Devotees: Hilary Rhoda, Gwyneth Paltrow, Christy Turlington
Why try? Anderson has a cult following of celebrities and generally hot people who swear by her method. That's motivation enough for us.
Do it yourself: Membership at one of Anderson's studios is one of the priciest in the fitness community (think $900+ a month), but with her series of DVDs and targeted workout routines streaming on Xbox One, you can benefit from her teachings at home, and for a much lower price.

Why try? From Bikram to Vinyasa, not only are yoga classes a great way to build core strength and tone your entire body, the quiet, community-based class environment will help keep you Zen during the stressful work week.
Do it yourself: Buy a mat, find a local studio or trusty DVD, take a deep breath and get to it. Namaste.

Why try? Mary Helen Bowers, the founder of Ballet Beautiful, caught our attention years ago when she trained Natalie Portman for her role in Black Swan, but since then, she's whipped some of the fashion industry's finest into shape. She's also been featured in Lulamagazine and on Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's site, Romy and the Bunnies.
Do It Yourself: Bowers makes her classes accessible all over the world via her website, and also has a book and a series of DVDs to help you get Victoria's Secret model-approved results. If you're really hoping to get to the barre, find a beginner ballet class at a local studio and start those pliés.
