With NBC's Parenthood back on the air for the second half of its fourth season, we sat down with costume designer Diane Crooke to discuss the ups and downs of outfitting a 15-member ensemble cast, including stars like Joy Bryant, Erika Christensen, and Lauren Graham.

The hardest part about dressing such a large cast? Color coordination! Diane comes up with a color palette for each character, "so when you do a scene all at once, not everybody's wearing blue."

Diane utilizes accessories to make sure each character stands out. "Even a ring can add personality," she said.

One of the glamorous aspects of the role is interacting with the celebrities on the show. "I love dressing Erika Christensen...everything I put her in looks fantastic," the designer said of the 30-year-old actress who plays a high-powered lawyer turned stay-at-home mom on the show."I love dressing Sydney, because we get to play around with colors and patterns,"she said of Savannah Rae the 5-year-old actress who plays one of the kids on the show. However, Diane doesn't play favorites, claiming she loves to dress everyone for different reasons."Even the boys are fun," she said.
