StyleList guest editor Tim Gunn is most widely recognized for his work with the hit show 'Project Runway,' but his newest adventure has Tim and three designers embarking on a journey of fashion and mentorship.

His new show, 'Under the Gunn' His new show, 'Under the Gunn' features Tim mentoring "Project Runway" alumni Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee and Nick Verreos. While they have shown their unique skills on the runway as contestants in the past, these three dynamic designers must now prove they have the vision and business savvy to mentor and manage a fashion empire with 15 new up-and-coming designers under their watch.

When we spoke to Tim, he had just seen the first episode and his reaction was ... priceless. "When I saw the show, I was blown away at how brilliantly it was done. What struck me when I was watching, is that it feels very much behind the scenes. You feel like you are getting information that has been guarded and protected for so many years," said Tim.

When asked what set his new show apart from 'Project Runway' he was quick to point out how important the mentors are to the show. "The mentoring aspect of the show offers a whole other layer that you don't see on Project Runway. You get to see the mentors talking to each other and their team, you get an inside look." For many of the new judges, this will be their first time mentoring young designers. Naturally, this poses certain challenges which you see on the show. "Their ability and discovery of what it's like mentor is so unique, they learn how difficult it is. Nick Verreos had a very hard time stepping off the teaching box and onto the mentoring box.
