Believing In Yourself

I guess that's what it takes. To look into your heart, and be true to what it tells you. And then, when you find that real you, then you can express that to the whole world, give them the gift of you, the true you.

I think of every little piece that I design as a gift to one special woman, a talisman that will give her strength and protect her through the day. Buddha said: "You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection."

My pieces are a reminder of that.

I did my jewelry as a way of finding my true self. My main inspiration is Life, being grateful for it, and being grateful for being here. The chances for you to be here are so slim, and still, here you are, reading these lines. This is a wonderful thing. You should be grateful for you -- that's another thing I want to share through my pieces. "How wonderful life is now you're in the world." Lyrics from an amazing EJ song.

We are all go through hard times. Sometimes its a relationship gone bad, our job is not perfect, things didn't turn out as we've dreamt they would... Sometimes we cry... Sometimes we are depressed... Sometimes we just go shopping to buy some happiness... buy a little piece of jewelry or a pretty dress - "Who said money didn't buy happiness didn't know where to shop" said somebody on Facebook. It got lots of "likes". I liked it also. But, what I have learned is that happiness is not very long-lasting. You will need to fill that void again, and again... and things never fill it. There will always be another dress to buy, a more expensive car to own, a bigger house or a more expensive diamond. Always. You can't have them all. What I learned is that you have to go inside yourself, face your fear, suffer, feel the pain, and grow out of it. Take the good with the bad, and be grateful to be. Just be. Life is simple; we don't need to make it more complicated that it needs to be.



I am using symbols in my new collection "Universal Love" -- symbols that I think are strong enough to attract solely good energy around you; to make you strong and confident and touch your soul.

I want to inspire you to find the beauty, the strength, the uniqueness, and the confidence in you... I am sure it is all there, but we all have moments when we misplace it, and we need somebody or something to reinforce it in us, to remind us how special and beautiful we are and to tell us that everything will be ok.
It might be a friend, a lover, a book, a quote, and yes... why not... even a piece of jewelry.

So, I will end my little blog post with a poem attributed to Jorge Luis Borges, called "After a While"
