Road Test: Lip Plumpers
Is a pout like Angelina's available in a bottle? It sure seems that way based on the number of lip plumpers we've been seeing in the makeup aisle. But do they work? StyleList asked women to test a variety of plumpers, rating them on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best). Some got high marks even if they didn't plump lips -- read on to see why.

Does it work? "Yes!"
Lip Service: A visible plumping lasted about a half hour, but our tester admitted she "wouldn't have been mistaken for Angelina."
Lip Disservice: At first, the gloss has "a slightly weird, tingly feeling."

Lip Service: This plumper can easily be combined with your favorite gloss or lipstick and has a "super yummy orange creamsicle flavor."
Lip Disservice: The price! For $35 our tester wanted more dramatic results.

Lip Disservice: There's a price for that plump -- our tester felt a "slight burning feeling" in her lips even after the gloss wore off.

Lip Service: Our tester got compliments on both the "color and shine" of her lips.
Lip Disservice: The results weren't noticeable, and it has a "strong cinnamon taste."

Does it work? "No"
Lip Service: It can be applied beneath your favorite color.
Lip Disservice: This lip plumper has a "lotion-like" texture that can be very messy

Does it work? "Yes, amazing results!"
Lip Service: Expect about 30 minutes worth of plump lip action. "I would totally recommend this to a friend" says StyleList's tester.
Lip Disservice: Our tester's only complaint? She didn't get any compliments!

Lip Service: The super glossy formula of this plumper leaves lips looking shiny but not sticky. Our testers tip? "Layer it over a lipstick for a night out to make your lips really pop!"

I tried the Arbonne Lip plumper it comes with a color and a gloss I love it I saw a visible change and would recommend over these other non working plumpers.

I use this stuff from Walgreens by Physicians Formula called Plump Potion Needle-Free Lip Plumping Cocktail. I don't care for the colors it comes in so I use the clear one. It does work without stinging or burning. It is a little sticky though. I even tried it on the back of my hand to see if it was actually doing anything and it left a little swollen strip where I had applied it. It's about $10.

I use Physicians Formula Plump Potion. I get it at wal-mart for around $10. I even tried it on the back of my hand and hit left a little swollen strip. It only lasts about 30 minutes too but doesn't sting.....just a cooling kind of sensation. It's a little sticky though but super shiny.

The one from Kinerase is not a lip plumper. Its a clinically proven line and wrinkle reducer. Its a serum for your lips.

my thing is this: if you were meant to have plumped lips like angelina jolie's then you would have had them when you were born (or something like that) i can say that because i am one of those females who does not have to spend money on worthless lip stuff to plump my lips up: I WAS GIVEN PLUMPED LIPS SINCE THE DAY I WAS BORN!

I use Sally Hansen Lip Conditioner Plumper. It definitely plumps up my lips. It's very mildly tingly, but it doesn't burn at all. It's like soda fizz on your lips. It's also an excellent conditioner. I have a horrible problem with my lips being chapped and cracked all the time, and no lip balms seem to work. But after just a week of wearing this, my lips are perfect. It is also a very affordable product.

I use the Arbonne prep and plump. I love it. It used to sting when I first used it but doesn't anymore. No taste. The longer you use it the more it plumps your lips! If you'd like more information email me and I'll tell you more!!!

What about Lip Venom by Urban Outfitters? I have that stuff, it's only about $8, it works great, and makes my lips super glossy! It is slightly tingly, but it's bearable.

buxom lips by Bare Escentuals is the one to beat!! That lip gloss in Amber was my ABSOULTE FAV GLOSS!! It smelled great, the color was a gorgeous peach, and it made me look like Angelina Jolie!! haha. it's awesomme!! i love the duo sets too!!
