    Curls Add Glamour

What's the easiest way to add a glamorous touch? "When you're at home, the best thing to use is big curling iron," says Dufourg. "Don't be scared to add curl." To get beautiful waves -- like Jessica Alba's here -- we recommend the Hot Tools Curling Iron, www.ritzhazansalon.com. $75.

    Pump Up the Volume

When it comes to nighttime hair, bigger is better. "This year we're going to go very glamorous," Dufourg says. "People are not scared to go over the top." To get this look, try a volumizing spray like Dufourg's Prive Root Amplifier. $16, www.priveproducts.com

    Soft and Simple

What's pretty and appropriate for an afternoon date? Dufourg suggests a delicate touch. "If you have long hair, use big electric rollers and just brush it soft around the face." To complete the look, try Frederic Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme, $23, www.sephora.com

"Headbands are big this season," says Dufourg. "It's so simple to do by yourself at home -- you add a headband as an accessory to an everyday look and you look festive." Paris Hilton shows off her version here.

    Ponytail Express

A long night of parties can leave your hair with a hangover. "Hangover hair is not good," admits Dufourg. "That's when the ponytail comes in handy -- it's the best way to go. Nobody should have a bad hair day anymore." Try a ponytail like Beyonce did here, and give your locks an additional boost with Oscar Blandi's delicious Jasmine Oil Serum, which adds shine to dull hair. $24, www.sephora.com

    Your Time to Shine

This time of year, the weather can wreak havoc on your hair. "You have to keep your hair close to your head in winter," Dufourg advises. "And always try to keep it clean looking." Get that just-washed look with Prive's Shine Serum, which adds subtle sheen with jojoba oil. $19, www.priveproducts.com

    Opt for an Updo

For long-haired ladies, Dufourg recommends making a statement, like Scarlett Johansson here. "For a chic party, an updo is very nice," he says, but advises, "you should go to a salon. It's not easy to do yourself, especially if you want something very clean and polished."

    Knots for Everyone

Rushing out to a party with no time to get ready? No problem! "You can do a knot in the back and just put a headband on top and make it look very dressy -- that's easy to do," Dufourg says.
