Bangs

Bangs are big this season and this tress trend is showing no sign of slowing down. If you're considering the look, use these celebrities as inspiration: sleek and sexy like Tyra Banks, long and choppy like Reese Witherspoon, an updated pageboy like Katie Holmes' and everything in between. First up? British beauty Kate Beckinsale made an appearance at the Calvin Klein Fall 2009 show with these blunt bangs added to her signature long coif.

Leighton Meester debuted fringe bangs at the Proenza Schouler Fall 2009 show. The Gossip Girl star's new 'do is definitely a step up from her character's Upper East Side preppy look.

Keira Knightley is the epitome of French chic at the Chanel Spring 2009 Haute Couture show with blunt, thick bangs. To recreate Keira's hairstyle, use a large round brush to curl the ends. Smudge liner around the eyes and finish with mascara for the star's smoldering look.

Reese Witherspoon steals the show at last year's Oscars with long, sweeping blond bangs.

Janet Jackson is famous for her always-changing look. Her newest reincarnation? She lost 60lbs pounds and added blunt bangs to her super straight long locks.

American Idol star Carrie Underwood looks the part of country music's next big star with her chic up-do and face framing bangs.

The "Rachel" may be ancient history, but women still look to Jennifer Aniston for hair inspiration. The Marley & Me star couldn't resist mixing up her look with layered bangs while shooting a scene in Miami.

At the L.A. premiere of her new big action flick 10,000 BC, leading lady Camilla Belle showed her sophisticated side with her sleek new 'do.

Nobody makes laid back look as gorgeous as Mrs. Ben Affleck. Jennifer Garner opted for a shaggy 'do and side sweeping bangs to glam up her mommy style.

To help ease the transition from O.C. starlet to big screen star, Rachel Bilson is in the midst of a grown-up makeover that includes thick, eye-skimming bangs, smoky eyes and a wardrobe made up of trendy pieces by Zac Posen, Brian Reyes and Abaete.

I've been "rocking the style" in one for m or another since 1963, when I was in first grade! They have been modified ov er the years to suit my face and what I like, so it's not like I'm wearing the SAME style that long. It comes - it go es - but I wear what I like and what lo oks good on me, no matter what the "lat est trend" happens to be. Find somethin g you like and just do it - no matter w hat Hollywood has to say about it. Next week with them it'll be something else . Be true to your own style and "rock i t"!
