Essential Tool: Mousse
This XXL Volumizing Mousse from Garnier($4.29) is perfect to use, because any good hair style starts with volume! Work it through your hair after you shower, while your hair is damp.

Essential Tool: Hairdryer with Optional Diffuser
If you’re going for the beachy look or emphasize your texture, use a diffuser when drying your hair - scrunching the hair throughout the drying process. If you’re going for the sleek look, lose the diffuser and dry your hair straight. Try this one by CHI ($135)!

Essential Tool: Texturizing Spray
We love this one from Redken ($17.50), Wool Shake, as it’s easy to use and gives your hair traction to make it stay, especially with finer hair. Apply to dry hair to add extra oomph.

Essential Tool: Styling Wand
These wands are a great tool: without the grip of a normal curling iron, you don’t run the risk of getting a kink in your hair, and you have more control over the curl. Perfect to use to amp up curls started with texture, try this one by Remington ($24.99)!

Essential Tool: Hot Rollers
Some women prefer hot rollers to curling irons, and we think you should try these from Conair ($31.39). Sometimes it’s nice to just put them in and go – you can get other things done while your hair curls!

Essential Tool: Shine Mist
The finishing touch should always be shine. Spritz this over your curls or your updo and you’ll seal the deal on an amazing hair day. Try this one from Fekkai ($23).

We watched, we listened, we were in awe.
Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson performed at the 2013 Super Bowl, and they not only rocked it, but looked amazing while doing so. Jennifer Hudson sang "America the Beautiful" with children of the Sandy Hook Elementary School's chorus, an incredibly touching and beautiful performance. She looked just lovely while she stood with the children, and wore her hair in a glamorous side-swept messy bun.
Alicia Keys wore a bright red dress with her hair sleek and kept back, pulling the look together very nicely. Beyonce took over the stage with her gorgeous long locks flowing in beachy, sexy waves. It was clear that a lot of texture and volume went into making this 'do perfect, and she looked amazing. (And her hair was the perfect accessory to her leather outfit!)
There are a few key items essential to obtaining the looks of these diva ladies of the Super Bowl, and we've pulled that together for you right here! Click through the gallery above to see which tools you'll definitely need when you want those beach waves or to do a sleek updo.
