Michelle Obama isn't the only American woman obsessed with J.Crew, one of our favorite accessible, casual luxury brands. Classic silhouettes, preppy styles, print-mixing, and luxe basics are just a few of the things we love about J.Crew. For the past thirty years, the specialty retailer has been updating and redefining classic American styles.
Thanks to the incredibly glam creative director Jenna Lyons, sequin trousers and tweed blazers in shades of vibrant pink and blue have become mainstays in our closets. Click through the gallery to see vintage pictures of famous stars like Farrah Fawcett and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the 1970s wearing what totally could have been J.Crew, had the store been around. We guess the adage is true – everything old is new again!
