ALL THE ESSENTIAL NY FASHION WEEK COVERAGE - MAKE THE BEST LOOKS YOURS

Winter Storm Nemo might be sweeping the East Coast, but New York Fashion Week is chugging along, full speed ahead. On Day 2, we spotted a few more fabulous trends for fall.

Since a collection wouldn't quite be considered Fall/Winter without at least a few great coat options, designers always seem to place a focus on outwear. Last fall, varsity letterman jackets were all the rage, complete with vibrant collegiate colors and letters sewn to the front. For the upcoming season, designers are taking it down a notch and utilizing the same basic design, while toning down the overall look with muted tones and more sophisticated fabrics, like quilted leather.

Another trend we spotted across the board was fur collars, found on jackets everywhere from Jason Wu to Rebecca Minkoff. This winter was all about the faux fur jacket or vest, but for those who want an understated look, a fur collar is the way to go.

Classic black is an easy and obvious color for chillier temperatures, but by the looks of all the navy we spotted on the runways, it's getting a run for its money! We love the idea of switching your basic black separates to navy for a fresh look this fall.
