Duchess Kate in cornflower blue McQueen and bespoke Jenny Packham for royal tour day 4
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today attended a wreath laying ceremony in Blenheim to commemorate World War I. They then met several veterans, and took a walkabout to greet the over 5,000 people who came to see the royal couple. Prince George stayed home today, relaxing with his nanny after a very busy day yesterday.
Kate was dressed in Alexander McQueen, a stunning cornflower blue custom version of the Utility Peplum Coat Dress which retails for $3,875.00. It's also one of the pieces we predicted for her! *hairflip* Kate's coat is without the top flap of the off-the-rack version, and was made a tad longer.
She looked stunning in the coat, accessorized with navy blue pumps and sapphire earrings. She wore her hair up in a sophisticated ponytail.
Later in the evening, William and Kate attended a State Reception and unveiled a portrait of the Queen. William gave a speech, saying of Prince George: "He's at his most vocal at 3am, as you may have noticed – I swear I heard him doing the haka this morning." Too cute!
For the Reception, Kate was dressed in a black bespoke Jenny Packham evening dress with silver fern detailing. She wore her Jimmy Choo pumps (thanks to contributor WhatKateWore for the ID!)and her hair down in waves.
