Kate and William attended the Royal Film Performance of 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom,' tonight, leaving little Prince George at home for an evening out on the town. They aren't doing too many joint events as they want one parent to be home with George as much as possible, so it's a treat to see them together.

The Duchess wore a long-sleeved cream evening gown by French designer Roland Mouret. (A little surprising, as Kate typically wears British designers!) She has worn the gown once before -- an elegant piece, formfitting with a thigh-high slit -- and hers is a custom version of a the 'Lombard' from Mouret's 2009 collection. She completed the look with a glittering statement necklace (A Zara piece that retails for $35.90, and you can still buy it!) a Mulberry clutch and simple black pumps.

Kate and Wills walked the red carpet as a perfectly matching pair in black and white. William was in his black-tie best, and Kate's hair was pulled back in a low-key, loose ponytail to let her glittering necklace do the talking. After seeing her wear a tiara earlier this week, we were hoping to see some sparkle tonight. It's definitely not quite as glitzy as the tiara's diamonds and pearls, but hey, it's jewels we can all afford!

Before the film screening the royal couple met the director and stars of "Mandela," including actors Irdis Elba and Naomie Harris. Click through the gallery above to see more photos of the evening!
