These days it seems you're not a celebrity until you have a beauty and fashion empire. Katie Holmes, who already has a clothing line Holmes & Yang, and is currently the face of Bobbi Brown and Alterna haircare, is certainly looking to build hers.

"I'm interested [in doing a fragrance],"Holmes recently told WWD. Which is basically the same as saying "I'm interesting in making some more money."

"We all need a little help in smelling good, especially in the summer in New York City!" Holmes explained.

The actress and, more importantly, mom to the best-dressed elementary schooler in Hollywood, is also expanding her contract with Bobbi Brown: Now, she'll not only be the face of the brand, but she'll be the brains behind it too. According to the trade, Holmes has taken a hands-on approach designing the Bobbi & Katie cosmetic collaboration collection, set to hit stores in September.

The collection (a brush set, $65, and a $68 palette with eight eye shadows, two Pot Rouges and one mini eye pencil) will be sold in Brown's full distribution–more than 100 doors in 60 countries. Sales are expected to reach $3 million.

As for Holmes's fashion endeavors, you can expect to see her line Holmes & Yang back on schedule for New York fashion week.

"We'll probably do something smaller, like in the hotel as we did in February," she said. "We found that to be very effective. We've had great sell-throughs at Barneys. We're having a good time."
