Want to know what we'll be wearing next spring? (I know, we're talking about spring already.) Feast your eyes on Madewell's spring 2013 collection. J.Crew's hip little sister always seems to cook up that perfect mix of wearable-yet-cool pieces that are not only practical for real life, but come at real life prices, too.
Madewell went in a softer, more feminine direction for their latest collection, which the label debuted yesterday. Pretty pastel blouses and denim skinnies mingled with ditsy floral printed dresses and tops. There were also a handful of bold leaf printed pieces–I especially liked that wrap pencil skirt. Another highlight? A bright yellow lace shirt-and-skirt combo that is just screaming to be worn by Madewell cover girl Solange.
As always, the presentation, which this season had a playful and quirky vibe, was a lesson in styling: A loud lace number was toned down by layering a chambray underneath, backpacks gave a tomboy edge to otherwise girly looks, and a quirky printed blouse was layered underneath a jumper-esque dress...we could go on.
