Nicole Kidman's style transformation
Her first role was as a sheep in the school play at the age of 5... and it's all history from there. We kid, but she knew from a very young age the path she wanted her life to take. She had joined acting school by the age of 10 and by 14 had her first lead role in the Australian film Bush Christmas.
Her breakthrough performance came with the film Dead Calm in 1989, and she garnered worldwide attention for her performances in movies such as Days of Thunder, Far and Away, and Batman Forever. While filming Days of Thunder, she met and fell in love with costar Tom Cruise -- whom she married later that year. The pair were married until 2001, and adopted two children together.
She received a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for her performance in the musical Moulin Rouge. She won the Oscar for her performance as Virginia Woolfe in The Hours, and was nominated for an Oscar and Emmy for her roles in Rabbit Hole and Hemingway & Gelhorn, respectively.
Her style has been fairly consistent through the years: she prefers sleek lines and silhouettes. Not switching it up too often with pattern, she does wear a variety of color and a bit of metallic. We love how she's embraced her fair skin and hair, and kept her style classic and timeless.
