When it comes to shopping, it's pretty much a no-brainer that mostly everything we buy, we do so with the intent of wearing more than once. Of course-even for the most seasoned shopper-there are exceptions (that neon crop top you had to have last spring, perhaps), but for the majority of us, disposable clothing isn't our M.O.
That said, there might be some pieces you've been eyeing this season that might not scream "versatility," but they're still high on your list. For us, it's the metallic leather skirt.
Yes, metallic can be considered a glitzy trend best saved until the sun goes down, but with a bit of thought, it's easy to make it work from 9 a.m. coffee to 6 p.m. cocktails. How? Offset the skirt's inherent dressiness with simple staples-a white blouse or an oversized black sweater, thick black tights, a pair of combat boots and a a stylish overcoat. Add a pop-of-color lip and a key colored accessory, and you're good to go.
Read on to see the One Thing You Need and key items to pair it with to make the perfect outfit.
