Peaches Geldof, daughter of Irish musician Bob Geldof and Paula Yates has passed away at the age of 25, according to BBC News. Her death is being treated as "unexplained and sudden" by police.

Peaches began her career in the media at the young age of 15, having written a column for Elle, and also contributing to the Telegraph. She later went on to work as a television presenter and a model. Often spotted front row at the biggest shows of London Fashion Week, she was married to musician Thomas Cohen and had two young sons Astala and Phaedra, both under the age of two.

Peaches' father, Bob Geldof, has released a heartbreaking statement on behalf of his family:
"Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.

Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."

Her last tweet was an Instagram photo of herself and her mother, who died when Peaches was just 11 years old, with the caption "Me and my mum." This is a developing story.
