Rihanna got real with Glamour for their November issue, sizzling on the cover while she told the mag of her style icons, her new television show and how her mother helped her re-discover her fearless attitude.

When asked who makes her best-dressed list, she said that Nicole Richie "pisses [her] off, she's so good" (naturally -- I think the whole world would agree!) but also, "you know who is the best who ever did it? Princess Diana. She was like-she killed it. Every look was right. She was gangsta with her clothes. She had these crazy hats. She got oversize jackets. I loved everything she wore." That's right, RiRi called Princess Di a gangsta when it comes to style. We kinda love that analogy -- Di was fearless when it came to her passions, her children, and took the world by storm with her timeless elegance. Rihanna's probably just the first to identify her power in this way!

Other than Princess Diana and Nicole Richie, Rihanna's main fashion icon is her mother. As a tomboy when she was a young girl, she remembers not quite understanding, but loving her mother's style. "I used to watch her get dressed," Rihanna said, "She was around my age right now, and she was so fly."
